City National Bank of Florida, one of the nation’s fastest-growing banks that has expanded and strengthened its Tampa Bay area presence in recent years, has renewed its sponsorship for the Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame.
It’s a mutually beneficial partnership, according to Jason Russek, City National Bank of Florida’s Managing Senior Vice President and Market President for West Florida.
“At City National Bank of Florida, supporting the communities we serve is central to who we are,’’ Russek said. “We focus on building long-term relationships, and that includes investing in organizations that bring people together, reflect local pride, and create lasting impact.’’
City National Bank of Florida offers a full suite of banking products, including mortgages, business financing, wealth management, international banking, and specialty financial services. Based in Miami, the bank expanded into Tampa and Sarasota in 2017 while establishing a firm Central Florida footprint. It combines the resources of a large institution with the personalized service of a community bank.
The TBSHOF, which began in 2025, is dedicated to honoring Tampa Bay’s soccer history while promoting and highlighting the game. The TBSHOF will induct its second Hall of Fame class on Thursday, Aug. 13 during a dinner at Tampa’s Higgins Hall on the campus of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Last year’s inaugural induction dinner was sold out and set in motion the TBSHOF’s mission of honoring the sport’s Tampa Bay legacy.
“Our partnership with the Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame is a natural fit,’’ Russek said. “It honors the history of the sport in the region while helping to inspire the next generation of players and fans. We are proud to support an organization that celebrates community, tradition, and the continued growth of the game.’’
