TAMPA, FL (March 22, 2024) – Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame Board members joined community leaders and sports enthusiasts at the Westshore Alliance’s Membership Luncheon to support key figures shaping the future of soccer in the region. The event featured presentations by Tampa Bay Sun FC primary owner Darryl Shaw, Head Coach Denise Schilte-Brown, and Vice President of Events for the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Claire Lessinger.
Shaw shared his vision for the Tampa Bay Sun FC, emphasizing the club’s role in fostering community engagement and elevating the profile of soccer in Tampa Bay. Schilte-Brown inspired the audience with her commitment to developing talent and promoting inclusivity, while Lessinger highlighted the vital role of events in driving sports tourism and regional pride.
