Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame to Honor Local Legends at the First Annual Dinner and Celebrate 50 Years of Rowdies Soccer

TAMPA, FL – The Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame (TBSHOF) proudly announces its first annual Hall of Fame Dinner, set for Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Higgins Hall in Tampa. This celebratory event will not only honor those who have enriched Tampa Bay’s storied soccer past but will also shine a light on the community’s role in shaping the game into a beacon of local pride.

For over half a century, Tampa Bay has nurtured a thriving soccer culture that spans youth leagues, high school and college programs, and professional clubs. Among these clubs, the Tampa Bay Rowdies mark a significant milestone as they celebrate 50 years of dedication, hard work, and community spirit. The Rowdies’ legacy, underscored by the new 50th anniversary crest, stands as a testament to a commitment that has helped grow the game and forge lasting bonds in the region.

“We are thrilled to honor our local legends at the upcoming dinner,” said board member Ed Austin. “This event offers us the chance to pay tribute to the players, coaches, referees, and supporters who have made a profound impact on our community. It also underscores our shared goal to nurture the future of soccer in Tampa Bay.”

The Hall of Fame Dinner will feature induction ceremonies across several categories, including Player, Coach, Builder, Referee, and Media. In addition to the banquet, TBSHOF invites members of the community to join the Founders Club, which offers both lifetime and annual membership options. These memberships provide recognition on the website, social media shout-outs, and access to exclusive events while supporting youth soccer initiatives.
